Skandmata is Goddess Parvati, who became the mother of Lord Skanda and from that time she is known as skandmata , mother of Lord Kartikeya, Mata Parvati is known as Goddess Skandamata. 

 Goddess Skandamata is worshipped by us on the fifth day of Navratri 2024. Goddess Skandamata sits on the ferocious lion. 

She carries baby Murugan on her lap. Lord Murugan is also known as Kartikeya and brother of Lord Ganesha. Goddess Skandamata is shown with four hands. 

She carries lotus flowers in her upper two hands. She holds baby Murugan in one of her right hand and keeps the other right hand in Abhaya Mudra. 

She sits on lotus flower and because of that Skandamata is also known as Goddess Padmasana.

Goddess Kushmanda has eight hands and because of that She is also known as Ashtabhuja Devi. It is believed that all the power to bestow Siddhis and Niddhis are located in her Jap Mala.


Fourth day of Navratri is purely and lovingly dedicated to Goddess Kushmanda. Devotees worship Goddess on this beautiful and auspicious day and ask for blessings.

Navaratri days are best time to worship devi  to get peace and blessings. This is most sacred days. People worship nine different forms of Goddess Durga during these days. Fourth day of Navratri is being celebrated.

Goddess Kushmanda name means the  ku means little and Ushma means energy and Anda means egg. Sounds exiting... She has eight hands and sitted on a lioness. She holds kamandal, bow and arrow, lotus in her right hand. 

In her left hand she holds amrit kalash, japa mala, gada and chakra. Maa Kushmanda is known as Ashtabhuja Devi.

Maa Chandragantha Day 3 of Navratri

 Maa Chandraghanta is very well known as devi who is in the form of married and it is one of the form of Goddess Parvati. 

She is the symbol of fearlessness and courage and is also known as Chandrakhanda, Chandika or Rannchandi.

This form of Devi Chandraghanta is a devi who is fighter and warrior type of appearance and apparently ready to fight form that is very much like goddess Durga, she has got many powerful weapons but also she is equally caring, prevalent  and representes motherly qualities to her devotees.

Devi Chandraghanta is worshiped for her eternity and power to destroy evil. 

Goddess Chandraghanta is the goddess of peace, love and forgiveness. Also, she likes to provide white in colour as her bhog. 

Devotees prepare kheer for prasad or offer milk to please her.

Naraka Chaturdashi information

 Naraka Chaturdashi is a Hindu festival and from ancient times to till present time World is celebrating this day, which falls on the second day of the festival of Diwali.

Kali means Dark and Chaudas is Fourteenth. Consequently, celebrated on the 14th day of the dark half of Āshwin month, Kali Chaudas is the day preferred to the worship of Maha-Kali or Shakti devi and is known as that on this day Kali did kill the most worst and bad NARAKASURA. 

Also referred to as Narak-Chaturdashi, Kali Chaudas is day to abolish laziness and evil which create hell in our life and shine light on life. The power to shield others is referred as Kali, and if its used for God's work is called Mahakali.

This day celebrates the victory of the God Krishna over the demon, Narakasura. On this day Hindus get up earlier as usual and maximum of do wake up earlier. The men will utilize oil first prior to taking bath.

 Afterwards, clean clothes are worn; some people wear new ones. A large breakfast is enjoyed with relatives and friends. In the evening, a mix of bright and loud fireworks are set off in an atmosphere of joyful fun and noise. Special sweet dishes are served as part of the midday meal. House are lit with oil lamps during the evening. 

Mata Brahmacharini Day 2 Navratri

 The word brahmacharini in Vedic texts refers to a female who is performing pure and sacred religious knowledge. Maa Brahmacharini denotes love, loyalty, wisdom, and knowledge. Brahmacharini also means bachelorhood and the colour white showcase purity.

Goddess Brahmacharini have a kamandal in her left hand and a rosary in the right and she wears white saree. Devotees who worship Maa Brahmacharini, get blessed with power, strength, wisdom and knowledge. She is also called as Devi Yogini and Devi Tapasvini. She is one of the most calm, peaceful and elegance form of Goddess.

She is the main source of spiritual truth and 'moksha'. She is covered in a pure white sari, Ma Brahmacharini's serene form is majestic and simple.

Brahmacharini means 'one who undertakes penance'. Devi is in her simplest form. Covered in a plain white saree.

Maa Brahmacharini's colour is red. It symbolises passion and love. Also, the flower used to worship her is Jasmine.

Shailputri Mata Day 1 Navratri

Shailputri is the spiritual high level of self realization of the Divine Mother Durga. She is truly Parvati, daughter of the King Himavanta, as described in the Shiva Purana. Shailaputri is the manifestation of this earth planet, which includes what is apparent on this earth, and within the globe.

The name 'Shailputri' means the daughter of the mountains. Shailputri Maa is also known as Mata Sati Bhavani, Goddess Parvati, and Maa Hemavati. She is also known as 'Pratham Shailputri. ' She is the first Devi of Navratri who is worshipped on the first day of this auspicious festival.

Goddess Shailaputri is known as the perfect form of Mother Nature.

Goddess Shailputri is the first manifestation of Goddess Durga puja celebration known as navratri. She holds a Trishul in one hand and a lotus in the other and she rides on a bull called Nandi. 

Goddess Parvati was born as the daughter of Himalaya and in Sanskrit, Shail means the mountain, so she is known as Shailputri.

Magha Gupt Navratri 2024 details and date

Out of four of Navratris, there are two Gupt Navratri and they are Magh and Ashadh. These Navratris are not so popular among us so it is called Gupt Navratri. Magha Gupt Navratri 2024 starting from  February 10 2024, marks a significant and beautiful occasion for Hindu devotees to worship Goddess Durga not only in India but also in every part of World. 

Observed during Magha month, this nine-day festival involves hidden worship practices associated with Tantra Vidhya. Magha Navratri, also known as Gupta Navratri, is nine days period which is dedicated to the nine forms of Shakti or mother Goddess.

 It falls in the month of Magh during January or February. Magh Navratri, which is less known in most places, is mainly observed in North Indian states like Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
