Goddess Kushmanda has eight hands and because of that She is also known as Ashtabhuja Devi. It is believed that all the power to bestow Siddhis and Niddhis are located in her Jap Mala.


Fourth day of Navratri is purely and lovingly dedicated to Goddess Kushmanda. Devotees worship Goddess on this beautiful and auspicious day and ask for blessings.

Navaratri days are best time to worship devi  to get peace and blessings. This is most sacred days. People worship nine different forms of Goddess Durga during these days. Fourth day of Navratri is being celebrated.

Goddess Kushmanda name means the  ku means little and Ushma means energy and Anda means egg. Sounds exiting... She has eight hands and sitted on a lioness. She holds kamandal, bow and arrow, lotus in her right hand. 

In her left hand she holds amrit kalash, japa mala, gada and chakra. Maa Kushmanda is known as Ashtabhuja Devi.
